Electrical Insulation PSP 3055 & 3055 SL (Presspaper)

PSP3055 and PSP 3055 SL Presspaper are specialized product manufactured from the purest wood cellulose fibers. With A Class 105℃, particularly suited as an insulating material in electric machines, capacitors, motors, etc., and especially in oil-cooled transformers.

PSP 3055 SL is a natural-coloured, calendered presspaper made of 100 % unbleached sulphate cellulose that is free of all bonding agents, similar to the presspaper PSP 3055. In contrast to the presspaper PSP 3055, however, it has a lower density. For this reason, the capacity for impregnation with fluid dielectrics is improved, which results in shorter impregnation times, greater absorption capacity and greater electric stability after impregnation. But a certain reduction in tensile strengths should be expected.

PSP 3055: Density 1.0 - 1.2 g/cm³, Thickness 0.10-1.0mm, Conforms to IEC 60641-3-2 P.2.1B standards.
PSP 3055 SL: Density 0.9g/cm³, Thickness 0.05 - 0.50 mm, Conforms to IEC 60641-3-2 P.4.1A and P.4.1B standards.

• Maximum electrical stability after oil impregnation is critical

You can accept slightly reduced tensile strength for improved dielectric performance
