Glass Reinforced Mylar (MGM) Insulation Composite Paper

Glass reinforced mylay(MGM) insulation paper is a kind of Polyester film and glass cloth flexible composite insulation material, which is a three-layer electrical insulation composite material made of two layers of high-melting-point 6020 electrical insulating polyester film on the top and bottom, with a layer of glass fiber cloth sandwiched in the middle, bonded together with adhesive.

Product Characteristics of Polyester Film and Glass Cloth Flexible Composite Insulation Material (GMG):

• Heat Resistance Rating: Class F insulation material (155℃)

• Excellet mechanical strength and electrical properties of polyester film.

• Good flexibility and the most ability of fiberglass cloth.

• The GMG insulation materials have passed ROHS and RECH test.

MGM polyester film and glass cloth insulation composite material has good mechanical strength and dielectric properties.

The electrical grade 6020 polyester film has high dielectric properties, tear strength, and tensile strength, as well as good impregnation properties. After being bonded to the outer layer of high-density polyester fiber nonwoven fabric, it can improve the mechanical strength of the film, maintain good flexibility, and further improve the product's heat resistance and thermal stability.

This GMG composite insulation paper is used in stator windings of motors and electrical appliances as slot insulation, pad insulation, and inter-turn insulation. It is also used in inter-layer coil insulation, end-seal insulation, and pad insulation of dry-type transformers.
